This is the latest revision of my home office setup of >3 years. It is a space mostly for work and techie hobbies.

Dell UltraSharp 38" Curved Monitor

This ultrawide works great for me. A typical day uses 4 panes with a browser, code, and team comms in 2 smaller panes. It also allows picture-by-picture from two different sources.

Dell UltraSharp 27" Monitor

This used to be my primary display when I was on a dual display setup. It's mostly used for video conferences or putting windows that can be in my peripheral vision.

FlexiSpot Sit-Stand Desk

Settled on this table frame after using a DIY setup for a year. The tabletop is a recycled 150 x 70 cm from our old office. Underneath the desk is a DIY shelf/mount where my Mac Mini, UPS and other peripherals are hidden (still a WIP).

Edifier R980T

I listen to music a lot. I switched to these bookshelf speakers and didn't realize until then how terrible my old 2.1 system was. It's fed by a 4-way stereo mixer hidden under the desk. The Mac Mini, Echo Dot and standby PC all connect to it.

LIFX Day-Dusk Smart Lights

These are wifi-enabled light bulbs which can be controlled by my phone or a smart home assistant like Amazon Alexa. It's scheduled to light up for the start of the work day and slowly fades to simulate a sunset at the end. This helps me regulate my sleep pattern.

I wasn't really planning to set this workspace here in my place in Singapore because I honestly thought it's a waste of money and if I were to, I should just do it in my place in Philippines, but then pandemic happened. 2-3 months after pandemic, I'm still holding myself back from spending money in setting up this workspace and eventually I gave in. No regrets though coz I'm still working from home for 1 year already. This is the best investment I did for myself last year I guess. Haha.
