My workstation is proudly designed by my architect-wife. I told her I wanted a functional and minimalist space that's big enough for me to comfortably work and game on.
Samsung CRG90
The centerpiece of my setup is my super ultra-wide gaming monitor. It lets me do context-switching easier as I no longer get distracted by bezels. Also, less power draw and cables to manage than a dual monitor setup.
Gaming PC
Built 2 years ago, this still has Ryzen 3600 + GTX 1660 but it can play all the games I ever want to play already. I only have Windows 10 installed as WSL2 is working great for me. Looking to upgrade RAM and storage soon.
HIFIMAN HE400i Ver.2020 and Bose QC35 II
If it's generally a quiet day and no need for noise cancellation, HE400i gets me the ear candies I need often. Else, Bose does its job.
Filco Majestouch Convertible 2 (Brown)
I want less wires as possible so we got this keyboard. The white and matcha accent suits both my and wife's taste. Since my workspace is in the family bedroom, I stay away from clicky switches.
IKEA SKARSTA (standing desk)
It's quite big - 160x80 cm - and is the perfect size for my big self. Since last year, I no longer go to our office, which mean I no longer walk to meeting rooms or eat outside that much so I felt it would be a good idea to get a standing desk.
Logitech MX Master 2S
Just the perfect size for my hands. Of course, being wireless is a requirement.
PS4 Controller
With DS4Windows, it's as good as any XBox controller, probably even better. I use this to play Hades and Dead Cells and Wii U emulator games.
Edifier R2000DB
To lessen wires, we went with active speakers instead of a passive + amp setup. Edifier is a well known brand for such speakers so I went with this.
Progress Health OrthoSeries IV
A local brand in Singapore, it's mesh so it's comfortable to sit on for longer times on humid days.
IKEA TAGARP + Yeelight LED Light Bulb
Instead of going with a LED strip, I went with a single color bulb mounted on a cheap IKEA floor lamp. Sets the mood and serves as a reading lamp as night.
Xiaomi Mi A3
A phone I no longer use so I reuse it as my webcam. Planning to upgrade to a proper webcam like the Brio.
Storage Boxes
This is where I keep all things I don't use daily - AirPods, other earphones, portable game consoles, wires, etc.
Blue Yeti USB Mic
Quite expensive for a mic but has good ROI because the quality upgrade of your voice will guarantee you swaying Zoom meetings in your favor - one of the many unconscious biases of remote work, haha!
